DOLLAR-CANADA: Rate continues to move to the downside, benefiting from both the
softening greenback and the (very) modest bounce in energy markets. The Dec4
rising trendline kicks in from here at C$1.3416, with the Dec18/17 lows lying
just below at C$1.3391 and C$1.3373 respectively. USD/CAD hedging has been
particularly prevalent Wednesday, with USD/CAD put strikes particularly popular
as traders position to profit from any recovery in commodity-tied FX (similar
pattern seen in EUR/NOK options today)
