DOLLAR-YEN: Rate holds at around the midpoint of the day's range at the London
close, with volumes and liquidity seemingly drying up. Comments from BoJ's
Kuroda have been unexciting, although the BoJ head did state that with
zero-lower bound for short-term rates, it might be better to directly affect
long-term rates through large-scale asset purchase programs. Rate should find
some resistance on any climb toward the day's highs of Y108.07, but progress may
be difficult beyond there as $1.1bln in option expiries are due to roll-off at
tomorrow's NY cut between Y107-95-02.
