RBNZ Add Q&A Webinar for Latest Policy Statement

Has gone somewhat under the radar, but there's been an addition to the RBNZ calendar, with a webinar scheduled for Friday 21st at 12pm local time (0100BST / 2000ET) with RBNZ Chief economist Ha and MPC member Buckle titled 'Latest Monetary Policy Statement Explained'.

Webinar follows a speech from RBNZ's Assistant Governor Hawkesby tomorrow where he'll speak on RBNZ balance sheet use.

Overnight, BNZ added their name to the growing list of sell-side outfits seeing negative OCR. They wrote: "We are not absolutely convinced as to when and by how much but, for now, have opted for a 50 basis point cut in the cash rate at the April Monetary Policy Review, taking the rate from its current 0.25% to -0.25%."
