Recovers Alongside Core FI

SEK

EURSEK and USDSEK move away from session highs in the last hour of trading, likely a spillover from core FI markets, which are off the day's cheapest levels.

  • USDSEK sits around 0.1% higher on the day at 10.9700 (after posting a daily high of 11.0172), just above the 50-day EMA of 10.9531. EURSEK is also around 0.1% higher on the day.
  • Larger-than-expected USD selling by the Riksbank in its second week of FX hedging did not provide the SEK any real support, with the higher-than-expected unemployment rate for September providing residual pressure throughout the day.
  • NOK continues to sit weaker against the G10, allowing NOKSEK to eye 0.9900, currently trading around 0.4% lower today.
