Red Sea shipping disruptions would limit the arrival of products to customers in the long-term and diversions around the Cape of Good Hope are not ideal due to added cost and length of journeys, QatarEnergie Chief Saad al-Kaabi said, cited by Reuters.

  • QatarEnergy had stopped in January sending LNG tankers via the Red Sea on security concerns and as a result rescheduled several LNG shipments to Europe.
