REFINING: Deer Park Refinery Halts Two Units After Two Dead in Chemical Leak

Pemex's 312.5kbpd Deer Park oil refinery in Texas shut the 92kbpd coker and a hydrotreater after a chemical leak which killed two people.
- Up to 35 people were treated at the plant or taken to hospitals for exposure to hydrogen sulfide gas.
- Contractors were performing work on a sulfur recovery unit (SRUs) at the refinery when the release occurred, Reuters sources said.
- Earlier in the day Pemex had reported maintenance that might cause flaring.
