REFINING: Russia's Tuapse Refinery Halts Operations
REFINING
Rosneft’s 240,000 bpd Tuapse refinery in Russia halted processing from October 1 due to low margins, sources told Reuters.
- The shutdown of the Tuapse refinery means Russian oil product exports from the Black Sea port of Tuapse are set to fall in October by 69% m/m to 0.312 million metric tons the sources said.
- The duration of the shutdown is unclear but appears to be for at least October.
- The refinery produces naphtha, fuel oil, vacuum gasoil and high-sulphur diesel – mainly for Turkey, China, Malaysia and Singapore.
