STOCKS: Regional equities have struggled on the back of the weak lead provided
by global risk assets on Thursday, in the wake of the latest ECB MonPol
decision. Thursday saw focus fall on the financial sector post-ECB, with
European banks squeezed by less favourable TLTRO-III terms when compared to
TLTRO-II, as well as a lower for longer round of forward guidance.
- Soft Chinese trade data then added further pressure.
- Nikkei 225 -2.0%, Hang Seng -1.5%, CSI 300 -3.0%, ASX 200 -1.0%.
- U.S. equity index futures continued to edge lower overnight.
- S&P 500 -5, DJIA -52, NASDAQ 100 -14.
