RENEWABLES: German Solar PV Additions Remain Slow in September

Germany added 962.4MW of new solar PV capacity in September, slightly up from 921.6MW in August but well below levels seen in the first seven months of this year, Bnetza data showed.
- Monthly solar PV additions averaged 1.308GW between January-August.
- Total German solar PV capacity stood at 94.3GW at the end of September.
- Germany issued permits for a total of 419.8MW of solar PV capacity in January-September.
- Germany added 228.4MW of new onshore wind capacity in September, slightly down from 247.3MW in August, but broadly in line with the Jan-Aug average of 232.8MW.
- Total onshore wind capacity reached 62.52GW at the end of September.
- So far this year, Germany issued permits for 10.05GW of new onshore wind capacity.
- Monthly offshore wind capacity additions reached 87.8MW in September, unchanged on the month and slightly above the Jan-Aug average of 81.8MW.
- Total German offshore wind capacity stood at 9.22GW at the end of September.
