See the latest German wind output forecast for base-load hours from SpotRenewables vs Bloomberg’s ECMWF model for the next seven days as of Wednesday afternoon.

  • Both models have similar wind forecasts on 29 November, 2 December and 4 December, with the smallest deviations on those days.
  • Deviations remain steady around 2-5GW between the models over 28 Nov- 4 Dec, with ECMWF consistently predicting higher wind output than SpotRenewables.
  • The largest deviations are seen further out, on 5-6 December.
  • Despite these differences, both models indicate a sharp peak in wind generation on 28 November, followed by a substantial drop on 29 November. Wind is then meant to rebound over 30 Nov-3 Dec before dropping slightly the next day.
