- Retail sales expected +0.3% BBG Median after +0.4% in Aug. Falling new and
used vehicle prices likely to keep Sept auto sales high, but drop in gas prices
could hold down headline number.
-Ex-auto sales seen +0.2% BBG after flat Aug reading and control group sales
expected +0.4% BBG. Steady wages and PCE indicate strong Sep sales, but measures
of consumer confidence are mixed. 
-Sep Conference Board index fell to 9-month low at 125.1. U-Mich survey showed
sentiment rising in Sept and again in Oct.
