Right-Wing Yamina Party Set To Be Kingmaker In Close Election Race

ISRAEL

Latest opinion polling shows razor thin margins between the bloc of parties opposed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu winning a majority in the Knesset and falling just short. The right-wing Yamina Party, led by former Defence Minister Naftali Bennett, is set to act as the kingmaker. If he sides with Netanyahu's Likud it may provide the PM with enough seats to remain in power. Alternatively, should he side with the opposition it would almost certainly mean an end to Netanyahu's 11-year tenure in office.
