Rinban On Deck

JGBS

JGB futures softened overnight, going against the theme of a flatter U.S. Tsy curve, with offshore participants perhaps a little tentative in the wake of yesterday's soft round of 30-Year JGB supply and Tuesday's rally in futures.

  • Elsewhere, ex-BoJ official Momma told BBG that the BoJ should be more flexible in its purchases of ETFs and even consider skipping them now that markets have calmed from Covid-19 turbulence.
  • Monthly trade data and core machine orders headline locally today, with 3-10 Year BoJ Rinban ops also due.
