Risk Assets Fading, With Underlying Selling Pressure Evident in Single Stocks

EQUITIES
  • Risk assets ebbing lower in recent trade, with equities and commodities fading, favouring haven currencies and most notably the JPY in recent trade, which slips through the earlier lows in USDJPY to print 112.73. First support is 20 pips below at 112.53 but weakness through here opens 112.08, the Sep 30 high and a recent breakout level.
  • Selling pressure in equities evident in the 1,200 NYSE names on the downtick over the past few minutes, with volumes in equity futures picking up to accommodate.
