FOREX: Risk-off spills over into early NY with the USD weaker against most
majors, except NOK & SEK. USDJPY eases to Y110.42 and seen approaching cloud
base support at Y110.37, below here targets the Y110 area (Y110.04    61.8%
Y108.11-113.17), ahead of the 100 & 200-dma's at Y109.93/90. EUR registers
modest gains but again failed to consolidate above $1.1400, last $1.1389. GBP
trades $1.2715/20, AUD & NZD hold toward the upper end of their respective
ranges. CAD CPI the main highlight at 1230GMT where analysts anticipate no
change in the y/y rate from a previous 2.5%, USDCAD last C$1.3152. EM FX remains
on the defensive led by USDTRY's 50 big fig move back above Try6.00 to
Try6.3468. Position squaring ahead of the weekend with S&P reviewing Turkey's
rating at the close attributed to the move, traders say. The dollar index holds
in the middle of its 96.30-66 range, US 10y last at 2.8515, while gold is off
its best levels of the day, last $1177.49.
