RUSSIA: IMF Halts Wartime Russia Review Amid EU Criticism

The IMF had been due to hold online talks with Russian counterparts on Monday as part of the so-called Article IV review ahead of a planned visit to Moscow to meet with government and central bank officials.
  • The average nominal monthly wage in Russia will grow by 35% over four years, Vedomosti report citing the economy ministry’s latest projections. Growth is expected to jump 17.9% this year, and then forecast to slow to 13.2% in 2025, 10.2% in 2026 and 8.3% in 2027.
  • The Bank of Russia will report inflation expectations data, while the Federal Statistics Service reports August PPI figures at 17:00BST/19:00 local time (Prior: +1.1% M/M, +13.7% Y/Y).
