Russia Increase Diesel Exports to Turkey and Morocco

Russian diesel exports to Turkey increased in December to more than 750k tonnes according Refinitiv data. Total output in 2022 was 5.05m tonnes compared to 3.99m tonnes in 2021.

  • Since the start of January Russia has supplies Turkey with about 450k tonnes of diesel.
  • Diesel supplies from Russia to Morocco increased to 735k tonnes in 2022 compared to only 66k tonnes in 2021. Russia has supplied about 140k tonnes to Morocco since the start of Jan.
  • The EU ban on Russian products is due to start of Feb 5 and Russia will divert supplies to Asia, Africa and Latin America said Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
