Russia Increases Energy Infrastructure Security: Novak

Russia has increased the protection of fuel and energy services according to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak shortly after the attempted mutiny by Wagner at the weekend.

  • "Overall, operations in the fuel and energy complex continue as normal," adding there were no deviations on production of oil products, oil, gas or coal registered.
  • "Actions were taken to intensify the counter-terrorist protection of fuel and energy facilities.” he said.
  • Any fears around Russian production appear limited Monday with narrow upward momentum for crude markets.
