Russia-India Oil Trade Does Not Face Payment Issues

Russian oil deliveries to India are steady and there are no issues with payment, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

  • "Russian oil supplies to India are maintained at a steadily high level; no problems arise with determining means of payment for oil exported by Russia," Zakharova said.
  • Indian crude oil imports from Russia in March rose to 1.7mbpd, the highest level since November, and up by 9% on the month, Kpler ship tracking data showed, despite tightened US sanctions.
