Russia's Orsk oil refinery resumed full operations on April 23 after a two-week outage due to flooding in Russia’s Urals region, according to Reuters sources.

  • Force majeure was declared on April 8 to avoid environmental risks and ensure labour safety and the refinery was expected to resume production on April 19.
  • The refinery processed 4.5m metric tons (90kb/d) of oil in 2023.
  • Operator, Forteinvest, will first supply fuel to fulfil required sales to the domestic market via Saint-Petersburg Exchange and then under export contracts.
