Russian Diesel Exports at Three Month High in June

OIL PRODUCTS

Russian shipments of diesel and gasoil rebounded to a three-month high of 1.2 million barrels a day in June according to Vortexa figures.

  • Most of the diesel cargoes are heading to Africa, South America and the Middle East.
  • Russian exports of gasoline and blending components — a relatively small portion of overall fuel exports — slid 40% to the lowest since September 2021 because of domestic tightness.
  • Naphtha exports slumped 34% to 318,000 barrels a day, the lowest monthly total -the lowest on Vortexa records.
  • Fuel oil shipments edged up by roughly 5% to more than 700,000 barrels a day, with most cargoes heading to Asia and the Middle East.
  • Higher Russian refined product exports is a result of stronger domestic refinery runs as they recover sharply from Spring maintenance.
