Russian Foreign Ministry Announces 60-Day Extension Of Grain Deal-TASS

RUSSIA

The deal allowing for a safe export of grain from Ukrainian Black Sea ports has been extended by 60 days, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told state-owned TASS news agency this morning.

  • "Our Deputy Minister [of Foreign Affairs Sergey Vershinin], who is leading these negotiations, made a statement yesterday. Indeed, the deal has been extended, it has been agreed that it has been extended for 60 days. Its package nature has been reaffirmed," Grushko said.
  • Grushko vowed that the Russian Federation will try to ensure that parties fulfil their obligations under the grain deal.
