OIL PRODUCTS

Russia’s exports of refined oil products climbed to a three-month high of 2.55mbpd on 1-28 July, up by 203kbpd compared to the total of June supported by strong flows of diesel, naphtha and fuel oil as more refineries returned from seasonal maintenance, Vortexa data show.

  • Diesel or gasoil accounted for roughly half of overall fuel shipments, with a notable increase in flows to Brazil. Exports surged to 1.24mbpd, up by 29% year on year. Russian diesel exports are expected to see a small increase in August.
  • Fuel oil exports, more than a quarter of Russia’s refined fuel flows, rose to a three-month high at 723kbpd with the bulk of the cargoes are sailing to Asia and the Middle East.
