OIL PRODUCTS

Russia’s seaborne exports of fuels like diesel and naphtha are on track to edge higher this month as annual refinery maintenance season comes to an end.

  • Shipments of diesel, naphtha, gasoline and jet fuel, fuel oil and feedstocks that help refineries make other fuels rose by 51kbpd in the first 10 days of the month compared with full-month May levels, according to Vortexa data.

  • Diesel or gasoil shipments rose to about 1mbpd in the 10 days of the month, the Vortexa figures show, up by 12% from May, when exports fell to a seven-month low.
  • However, the trend is reversed when it comes to gasoline. Russia’s gasoline exports have plunged this month to 8,500bpd, compared with 62,000bpd in May, as the government recommended to boost domestic supplies.
