Russian Gas Exports Fell To 107.6bcm In 2022 On Lower EU Flows

Russian natural gas exports fell by 30.7% last year to 170.6bcm, Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov said.

  • Gas Exports to non-CIS countries last year fell by 45.5% year on year to 100.9bcm.
  • Russia’s gas output fell by 11.7% last year to 673.8bcm.
  • For 2023, the Energy Ministry is forecasting a decrease in oil and gas production. Oil output will be lower due to voluntary reduction in oil production.
  • “Gas production will continue to decline both due to the refusal of the European market to take it, and the timing for reorientation of energy flows to the East”, Shulginov said.
