Russian Gas Flows to Hungary 2.6mn cu m/d Higher

Russian gas flows to Hungary have increased above contracted volumes according to Tamas Menczer -- an MP in the ruling Fidesz party on Facebook.

  • Russia began delivering an additional 2.6 million cu m/d to Hungary via the TurkStream pipeline and associated onshore infrastructure on Aug. 12 he said.
  • The higher rate of flow is expected into the end of August he said.
  • "The September schedule is already being discussed," - "It is the duty of the Hungarian government to ensure the country has a safe supply of gas." Menczer said.
