- Vessels on the waters have risen through a combination of longer transit times as vessels now head to Asia rather than Europe, while increasing volumes hit the water without a buyer in place.
- About 1.65 billion barrels of Russian oil are currently on the water, approximately 930mb of crude, 380mb of clean products and 340mb of residues. This is twice as high as the 2021 average.
