Russian Overnight Drone Attacks Caused Power Disruptions in Ukraine

Russian launched drone attacks last night at Ukrainian energy facilities in the northern Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions, that briefly caused disruptions to supplies, Ukrenergo said, cited by Reuters.

  • Power supplies in both regions have since then been restored.
  • Ukraine is still regularly cutting power supplies following heavy attacks on its infrastructure since March.
  • For 26 July, power will be reduced at 5:00 - 13:00; 18:00 - 20:00; 23:00 - 24:00 - one round of cut-offs. From 13:00 to 18:00 and from 20:00 to 23:00 - two rounds of cut-offs, local time.
  • Ukraine’s Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that the overall situation in the energy system in Ukraine has now improved according to UNN.
