Russian Refining Edges 2% Higher m/m in August

Russian refiners have boosted processed volumes this month as Gazprom ramps up output according to Kommersant reports.

  • It reported that August’s oil refining volumes have averaged about 760,000 metric tons per day or 5.6mn bpd - up 2% from the previous month's average of 758,400 tons per day.
  • Gazprom's Surgut and Astrakhan plants were some of the biggest contributions to this month’s increase.
  • September volumes are expected to slip as maintenance season ramps up.
