Russian Share of Indian Crude Imports Over 25% 2022

Russia’s share in India's crude oil imports surpassed 25% in 2022, according to the Russian Ambassador to New Delhi Denis Alipov.

  • "Russia became the largest oil supplier to India in 2022. Our country's share in Indian crude oil imports surpassed 25%," Alipov said.
  • According to the Indian Ministry of Trade and Industry, supplies of Russian crude oil surged 9.5-fold to $19.7 bln in the first 11 months of the year versus the year prior, oil products increased five times to $2.5 bln, and coal increased four times to $3.8 bln.
