Russia’s Gasoline Production up 1.4% in Week to Sep. 24

Gasoline production in Russia during the week to Sep. 24 rose by 1.4% compared to the previous week to 791.3k mt, according to Rosstat.

  • The rise follows a fall of 0.6% in the previous week to Sep. 17
  • Production of diesel fell during the week to Sep. 24, down 1.5% to 1.549m mt.
  • Russian gasoline and diesel are currently subject to an export ban in place since Sep. 21 as the government seeks to alleviate apparent domestic shortages and tame domestic prices.
