Russia’s Murmansk LNG project is expected to have two trains of 6.8m mtpa each year, documents seen by Reuters showed July 29.

  • Construction of the Murmansk LNG project in Russia’s Arctic is set for 2027-2030, documents showed.
  • The annual loading volume is projected to be 3.4m mtpa in 2028, rising to 6.8m mtpa in 2029. From 2030, the project expects loadings to hit 13.6m mtpa.
  • The project also has the potential to expand with a third line between 2030-2033, rasing overall capacity to 20.4m mtpa.
