RWE Receives Approval for German Offshore Wind Farm

Germany’s RWE received planning approvals for the first phase of the 1.6GW Nordseecluster offshore wind farm by the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency in mid-June, the utility said.

  • Construction at the 660MW Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm will start in 2025. Full commissioning is planned for early 2027.
  • Works at the 900MW Nordseecluster B are scheduled to start early 2029.
  • RWE recently made the final investment decision for the project.
