SAGBs Slide W/W, LT Yields Hover Around Channel Resistance

  • SAGBs tread water around the open, marginally in the green after yesterday’s broadly weaker session.
  • 10 & 15Y yields felt the brunt of the selling pressure with yields rising +6.3bp & +4.3bp respectively.
  • 10 & 30Y yields continue to exert pressure on the upper threshold of the recent ranges with key resistance at 9.90 & 10.70.
  • W/w the SAGB curve trades +2-9bp higher across the breadth with a marginal bear steepening bias.
  • Absa PMI data is also expected to drop to 55.5 this morning.
