Sakhalin-2 Selling All Gas Volumes

NATURAL GAS

The Sakhalin-2 project is selling all the gas it produces and has renewed nearly all contracts with foreign buyers according to Andrei Okhotkin, the company's commercial director.

  • "Despite the turbulent situation, we have retained our foreign customers. Yes, we are experiencing problems with selling spot consignments, because not everyone today participates in our sales processes owing to political concerns, though the main backbone has remained, and we will expand it," he said.
  • “Many vessel owners, even those who would like to work with us, cannot because of insurance coverage restrictions, and being under political pressure. Therefore, there are serious problems here, though we are resolving them, and we have good long-term partners," he added.
