US DATA PREVIEW: Salient data for Tuesday (estimates):
- Nov Final Demand PPI (0.6% prior, -0.1% estimate); $38B 3Y note auction.
- On PPI, Morgan Stanley economists "look for core PPI (excluding food, energy,
and trade services) to rise 0.20%M in November, roughly in line with the
three-month and six-month average."
- Deutsche Bank economists estimate a rise of 0.1% for headline PPI and +0.2%
for core. "However, we will be particularly focused on the PPI for selected
healthcare industries. The BEA uses this series to estimate the change in prices
paid by the consumer for medical services, which has about a 20% weighting in
the core PCE deflator, the Fed's preferred inflation metric."
