Sanctioned Barrels Add Strong Volumes to Market in November

Iranian crude output has risen by more than 500,00 bpd this year according to the latest Platts survey at 3.1mn bpd in November.

  • Venezuelan output was at a four-month high of 800,000 bpd in November.
  • Russia, anther sanctioned nation, the largest non-OPEC producer in the group, saw production fall by 20,000 bpd to 9.43 mn bpd.
  • Sanctioned barrels flooding the market and increases in non-OPEC supply are weighing on crude into the tail end of the year despite higher commitments from OPEC+ to cut production.
