Saudi Allocate Requested Crude to EU in Dec as One Refiner Reduces Volume

One major European refiner requested a smaller than normal contractual volume of crude from Saudi Aramco for December delivery according to Bloomberg sources.

  • Two other refiners requested full amounts and all three refiners were allocated the requested volumes.
  • Earlier this week Saudi Aramco lowered prices for Northwest European and Mediterranean customers but maintained its OSP for Arab Light to Asian customers for December delivery, halting a five-month price hike cycle.
  • As reported yesterday, Saudi Aramco notified at least four North Asian buyers that it will supply full contractual crude volumes to them in December. Nominated volumes are down to around 46mbbls from 47mbbls for November.
