Saudi Gasoline Tanker Bound for US U-Turns

A tanker laden with gasoline from Saudi Arabia heading to the US has u-turned in the Atlantic and is headed towards West Africa, according to Bloomberg.

  • This follows the collapse in gasoline demand in the US. EIA data showed the largest build in gasoline stocks since January 2022, while demand for this time of year was at a multi-decade low.
  • The Horizon Armonia loaded 348k bbl of gasoline from the Jizan refinery, Kpler said.
  • The original destination was signalled as the US, but has since changed to Lagos, Nigeria.
