Saudis Confirm Attack On Aramco Facility, Say Oil Supply Not Affected

Saudi Arabia's energy ministry has confirmed a drone attack on Aramco facilities in the capital Riyadh, which has been claimed by Houthi rebels in Yemen.

  • AFP reports the energy ministry as stating that oil supplies have not been affected by the six-drone attack, and that fires at the facilities were under control.
  • Houthi drone attacks continue to escalate in frequency, even if they rarely cause major damage or casualties. Nevertheless, the attacks create significant unease given the prospect of one attack causing major damage to oil facilities and potentially impacting global supply.
