Senate Approves Bill To Stabilize Fuels Prices

BRAZIL

Brazil's Senate approved the bill that creates a fuel price stabilization fund.

  • The bill also creates a gasoline subsidy for low-income families of which the aid is limited at 3b reais overall and is subject to budget availability.
  • Bill’s rapporteur Senator Jean Paul Prates also included in his report an increase in cooking gas voucher. The bill now goes to lower house. (BBG)
