Senate Head To Decide On Fuel Price Bills Next Week

  • Brazil: Senate President Pacheco said this Wednesday that he will make an effort to approve, as early as next week, the two projects on fuel prices that are being processed in the House. According to him, "it is very important to give an answer to this question". The articles are reported by Senator Jean Paul Prates (PT-RN), who works on an opinion for both texts.
    • The PT parliamentarian is predicting that a balance of approximately R$ 25 billion will be needed by the end of the year to reduce the values of diesel and gasoline by up to R$ 0.50 or R$ 0.60. The resource is the compensation considered adequate by the rapporteur for the creation of a price stabilization program. (Valor)
