Senators Meeting Monday To Discuss 1887 Electoral Count Act

US

Senators Susan Collins (R-MN), Mitt Romney (R-UT), Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Thom Tillis (R-NC), Roger Wicker (R-MS), and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) are meeting on Monday to discuss reforming the 1887 Electoral Count Act. • Since the failure of voter rights it seems likely that Schumer will have to throw his support behind this alternate voter rights initiative. The Democrats are increasingly desperate to point to a legislative success so a concession to reform the 1887 Electoral Count Act may be more desirable to Schumer now.
