*Euro opened in Asia toward the lower side of yesterday's $1.1717 to $1.1795
range, where firmer US rate yields underpinned the greenback.
*Euro-dollar traded sideways within a $1.1741 to $1.1756 in early trading
*As UST yields moved higher the US dollar was broadly bid, Euro eased lower from
around $1.1750 to $1.1733
*Pullback were limited to $1.1743, as the benchmark 10-year yield jumped over
the 200-dma the euro pushed lower to $1.1727
*In option space, large expiries for today at $1.1725(E1.04bn) and
$1.1750-55(E1.51bn) have managed to contain the range, so far.
*Support lies at $1.1717 (sep27 low), while Asia's high of $1.1756 provides
resistance.
*German Gfk consumer confidence (0600GMT) and CPI (1200GMT) provides the event
risk for the session ahead, which also includes US jobless claims (1230GMT)
