FOREX: Shanghai Composite spared a negative closed with talk of state buying
helping to boost the index into the green in the closing hours. Little new news
overnight so trade tensions still very much front and centre, but JPY easing
back after a few days of outperformance.
General Electric were knocked out of the DJIA after a century of membership,
with Walgreens (owner of Boots here in the UK) to replace. Little data to watch
today, but Draghi's got another appearance on a panel at the ECB's Sintra
conference at 1430BST with Nowotny, Lautenschlager, Knot and Coeure also making
an appearance.
UK House of Commons to vote on the 'meaningful vote' amendment this afternoon.
Vote will take place after an hour or two of debate following PMQs at 1200BST.
