Simsek to Address Investors in London Today

  • Treasury & Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek is scheduled to address investors in London today.
  • In its monthly assessment of price developments, the CBRT said that the delayed impact of lira depreciation, wage hikes and tax increases on inflation weakened in September. They added that strong price increases continued in services but that basic good inflation was more moderate.
  • Qatar’s investment in Turkey has exceed $20 billion, Trade Minister Bolat said according to Hurriyet, voicing expectations that trade volume between the two nations will increase further following recently signed agreements.
  • Trade Minister Omer Bolat will announce September trade figures at 0900BST/1100 local time.
