STIR
STIR: Since North America got into the office, there has been a small
retracement of some of the moves seen in the European morning session.
- In Short Sterling, Whites and Reds are largely unchanged since midday GMT
(Reds down 2.5-3.5 ticks) but Greens and Blues have moved a couple of ticks
higher to also now be 2.5-3.5 ticks lower on the day. The M0-M1 sector of the
curve has underperformed today. The market has begun to stabilise a little
following the large moves on the back of the postponement of the Brexit vote
yesterday.
- The Eurodollar curve is largely unchanged in NY trading, with Reds, Greens and
Blues all down 3-4.5 ticks today following overnight news that the US and China
were closer to reaching a trade deal. Indeed, there has been talk this morning
that China is looking to reduce tariffs on imports of American autos.
- Euribor futures, Swedish FRAs and Norwegian FRAs are largely unchanged on
yesterday's close, with most contracts within 0.5 ticks of yesterday's close.
