Singapore Bunker Sales Rise in May

Bunker sales in Singapore in May, the worlds largest bunkering hub, totalled 4.1mn t, up by 10% or 373,000t from the previous month and 1.1% higher than a year earlier.

  • Sales of low sulphur fuel oil (LSFO) 380 cSt totalled 1,995,600 mt – 8.9% up on the 1,832,600 mt recorded in April, and 0.1% up on the 1,993,600 mt registered in May 2021.
  • Marine fuel oil 380 cSt sales rose from 914,500 mt in April to 999,999 mt in May. This total also represented a 5.2% increase on the year.
  • 375,800 mt of low sulphur marine gasoil sales was the highest monthly total of 2022.
  • During the first five months of the year a total of 19,162,900 mt of marine fuel was sold in the Port of Singapore – 9.4% down on the 21,150,700 mt of bunker sales in the corresponding period in 2021.
