Singapore Middle Distillates Stocks Climb to 3-Month High

OIL PRODUCTS

Singapore’s middle distillate stocks climbed to a three-month high in the week to Feb. 14, reversing the general downward trajectory over the past two-months, according to Reuters.

  • Inventories of gasoil, diesel, and jet fuel were 9.547m bbl on Feb. 14, up by over 2m bbl on the week, Reuters said citing Enterprise Singapore data.
  • Net exports of diesel/gasoil fell 54% on the week as total imports were up five-fold, driven by arrivals from India, Qatar, and Taiwan.
  • Additional cargoes from India and the Middle East were expected amid volatility in East-West arbitrage economics, Reuters said, although the trend is unlikely to continue amid a widening arb west, namely to NWE.
  • Russian-origin cargoes emerged for the third straight week, contributing to the inventory build.
