Some notable moves overnight

  • G10 FX saw some decent moves overnight, The Kiwi fell over 1% against the Dollar, following the RBNZ Dovish cut.
  • Although views were somewhat split regarding the decision, the Bloomberg's Economists surveyed, was still for 14 unchanged vs 9 going for a cut to 5.25%.
  • NZDUSD has so far found some support at the 0.6000 mark, printed a 0.6003 low, while better support will be seen at 0.5977.
  • Cable fell some 40 pips on the UK Inflation coming below expectations, and so far is finding some demand ahead of the 1.2800 figure.
  • Next support of interest comes at 1.2762 (14th Aug Low).
  • USDJPY saw another volatile session, already trading in an other 112 pips range going into the European session, but USDJPY is just down 0.20%.
  • Support here is seen further out, down to 145.44, while resistance is eyed at 148.22 High Aug 12 .
